Celebrate and remember how God has answered your prayers over time.
Marking a Prayer as Answered
There are two ways to mark a prayer as answered:
- Swipe right on the prayer card in the Prayers tab.
- Use the overflow menu on the prayer card or detail screen and select “Mark as Answered.”
A dialog appears with two fields:
- “How it was answered” — Describe how God answered this prayer. Voice input is supported.
- “Date answered” — Defaults to today, but you can select a different date.
When you save:
- The prayer moves to the Answered tab.
- An anniversary reminder is automatically scheduled for one year later.
- A confirmation message appears.
Archiving Prayers
For prayers that are no longer active but have not been answered, you can archive them. Use the overflow menu and select Archive. Archived prayers are hidden from the active prayer list but can be reactivated from the prayer detail screen at any time.
Answered Prayers Tab
The Answered tab displays your answered prayers in a visual timeline, grouped by month and year. Each entry shows:
- Prayer title
- Date answered
- Answer note (tap to expand the full text)
- Category and contact chips
The timeline uses a colored line with circular nodes to create a visual journey of God’s faithfulness. Tap any entry to open the full prayer detail screen.
Filtering
Filter your answered prayers by category and date range. When filters are active, a badge appears on the filter icon. This makes it easy to find specific answers or review a particular time period.
Private Answered Prayers
Private prayers that have been answered appear with a lock icon. You must authenticate with Face ID, fingerprint, or device passcode to view them.
Export to PDF (Premium)
Premium users can export their answered prayers timeline to a PDF document. Private prayers are always excluded from exports.
Empty State
If you have not yet marked any prayers as answered, an encouraging message is displayed to keep you hopeful and motivated in your prayer life.
